BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Mr Arthur Darivas

Director, CEO & President, Latin America

Arthur has a strong track record in building successful businesses in the manufacturing, mining services and chemicals sectors in Australia and internationally.
He was CFO of Orica Mining Services Latin America from 2005 to 2013 and was instrumental in the development of Orica Mining Services’ successful Latin American business.
During this period, he formed numerous Joint Ventures for Orica in Venezuela, Panama and Peru.
He also managed the financial turnaround of Orica’s underperforming Brazilian and Argentine businesses.
Arthur’s financial leadership, ability to build trust and loyalty within teams, strategic thinking and strong analytical skills will assist TP Energy as it looks to develop its assets and build a solid business in Western Australia and Argentina.
Arthur holds a Bachelor of Business from Swinburne Technical College.

Mr Patrick Largier

Chairman & Non-Executive Director

Patrick brings global industry and executive management experience from a range of downstream processing and chemical companies.
He was Managing Director & CEO of the formerly ASX-listed Ludowici until it was acquired by FLSmidth Pty Ltd in 2012 and was made Managing Director of FLSmidth after the acquisition.
Ludowici was a $250 million per annum ASX listed company that supplied specialised equipment and services to the global mineral processing industry, with operations in 5 continents.
After five years of rapid growth, Ludowici was sold to FLSmidth in 2012.
FLSmidth supplies equipment and services to the minerals and cement industries.
Prior to Ludowici and FLSmidth, Patrick held numerous general manager roles within ICI and Orica’s Plastics and Chemicals Groups until he was made Orica’s General Manager, Strategy & Acquisitions.
He also held roles at Royal Dutch Shell as a crude oil trader, global lubricants brand manager and was involved in major capital projects.
In addition to TP Energy, Patrick fulfils several non-executive and chairman roles across various Australian companies.
He has a Bachelor of Science (Chemical Engineering) from the University of Cape Town and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Mr Andrew Mortimer

Executive Director

With a background in law and a core competence in mining exploration and metallurgy, Andrew has experience in creating and structuring the necessary strategic alliances to build solid mining businesses with the potential for sustained growth.
Andrew has performed executive roles for several public companies as well as being an experienced Chairman and non-executive Director.
For several years Andrew was also on the ‘buyside’ as a member of the investment committee of a managed fund.
Andrew has advised numerous companies on ASX listings, including Citadel Mining Group Ltd (acquired by Equinox Minerals in 2010 for $1.25 billion), Talisman Mining Ltd (ASX: TLM) and AIM Resources Ltd (merged with Intrepid Mines (ASX: IAU) in 2014). He has assisted these companies and others including Cudeco Ltd (ASX: CDU) with capital raisings and corporate strategy.
Andrew holds a BA and LLB from Sydney University and has been a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy for over 10 years.

Dr Patrick Kennedy

Non-Executive Director

Patrick began his career working as a mining engineer for Rio Tinto in Africa.
After acquiring technical qualifications while working with Rio Tinto in South Africa and Australia, he joined Orica (then ICI) and advanced through their ranks to a senior strategic executive level with global coverage.
He then became Chief Operating Officer at Hanwha Mining Services, the mining services arm of South Korean conglomerate, Hanwha Group, a company ranked within the top 300 on the Fortune Global 500 list.
At Hanwha, Patrick was tasked with developing an international mining services business across key global mining markets.
Patrick has also served on several company Boards, including for various business units of Hanwha and Orica as well as for explosives manufacturer, LDE Australia Ltd, EMBR Ltd (Australia), Emex JV (Dubai), Dyno Consult (since acquired by Orica) and Nitro Consult in the UK.

Mr Sebastian Pinto Fernandez

Non-Executive Director

Sebastián is a Chilean-based resources industry executive and former President, Latin America for Orica with responsibility for the operational and commercial performance of the region.
He was previously VP Marketing, Latin America for Orica, with responsibility for directing the regional business strategy, including price and product management, market intelligence and customer relationships.
Before joining Orica, Sebastián worked for Royal Dutch Shell for 16 years in various sales, marketing and strategy roles in Latin America, England and the USA.

Mr Andrew Bursill

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics from the University of Sydney and is a Chartered Accountant, qualifying with PricewaterhouseCoopers (formerly Price Waterhouse).

ADVISORY PANEL

Mr Neil Hutchison

Neil has more than 25 years of experience in the mining industry, working throughout Australia and overseas.
He has an enviable track record of discovery, resource and reserve definition, project development, evaluations and acquisitions and has particular expertise in battery and energy metals including cobalt, copper, lithium, nickel, uranium and vanadium.
Neil was Exploration Superintendent at the Cosmos Nickel Project with Jubilee Mines and was part of the team that discovered the Alec Mairs, Prospero and Tapinos deposits which lead to the A$3.1 billion takeover of Jubilee Mines by Xstrata in 2007.
During his time at Jubilee Mines, Neil developed a thorough understanding of the nickel and ultramafic forming processes as well as the associated modern exploration techniques required to explore for nickel in Kambalda style ultramafic systems.
Neil graduated with First Class Honours in Geology from the University of Southern Queensland and is a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (AIG). He is also a Non-Executive Director of Kairos Minerals (ASX: KAI).
